targanook:But the words are still there at "origin place", isn't?
English has stolen most of these sophisticated words from other languages (French, Spanish, Latin).

English has stolen most of these sophisticated words from other languages (French, Spanish, Latin). It's funny because at last IS in Biedenkopf/Germany I said something similar to an Australian participant: "Esperanto has stolen a lot of words from other languages." And she answering smiling: "sharing, not stolen". Do, yes. Seems to be right.

erinja:Not one single person in this forum is saying that English is the best language on Earth, so I don't know why you are arguing over this point here. No English-speaking person here ever made that statement, so when you spend long posts complaining about that statement, it sounds insulting to the English speakers who are here. Then you do not read all the posts, if you didn't notice that. One says that English is most precise, other that it has most sophisticated vocabulary and so.
I have never said that my language is the best. And if you have something against the Poles, please say it - I think that most Poles will not even notice that, since they are simply not here

Lojban is extremely precise, but I think it's far from the best. Maybe some other language has extremely sophisticated vocabulary, but maybe that language has difficult grammar and very limited verb tenses.
Relax!
No one is saying that English is better than Polish or better than any other language. However, some people are saying that they like certain aspects of English.
If I say that I think Hungarian is very beautiful, that doesn't mean that I am saying French is "the best" and you shouldn't take offence. And furthermore it would be no reason to write long message complaining about the Hungarian language or the people who speak it, or to accuse people who like Hungarian of saying things that they never said.

targanook:Jes, jes. Come on, targanook. The most English natives here at this forum are very sensitive to this issue. And English done by English natives has another communication styles like English communication done by non-natives. It happens again and again that some small words let people of other cultures freak-out. That phenomen is called International Communication and subject field at lot's of universities. But please, trust me, most user at lernu.net did it with no offence against you if some words let you feel offended. But I can understand this situation. Especially if people send me messages without my name and just a exclamation mark at the beginning. Which seems to be common in French and other languages but is received quite rude for Germans like shooting.qwertz:If I download some mp3 files or programs from Internet, why I must pay for them? Apart that, most natural languages don't have a copyright on it. Where we are now at the issue copyright again. kopirajto

And I hope that you speak Polish without using any loanwords from other languages, if you believe that this is "stealing". I hope you never use words like luknąć, korupcja, dewastacja, kworum, rzeczpospolita, ekran, bagaż, koszmar, fotel, myszygine, pomidor, or kalafior.
It would be a shame if you went to an internet forum to complain so much about English, but you are happy to speak a version of Polish with "stolen" words.

erinja:If someone says they think English is the most precise, that doesn't mean "the best". And if someone else says that they think it has very sophisticated vocabulary, that also doesn't mean that it is "the best".I am relaxed - we are not Arabs... we are worse! It is you who are irritated. I have nothing against English as a language - it is as any other, not better and not worse. To be honest I like German more than English because it is more clear and easier to understand by ear.

And I don't understand what you are trying to say about Arabs. The terms of this site do not permit offensive statements against any ethnic groups, nations, religions, etc.
