Perhaps it's a bit much, but if I may offer my own opinion: I've wanted for quite sometime to have an Esperanto forum which was broken up into subject categories, like say Music, Computers, ktp., and then a catch-all forum for whatever may be left. (Think Esperanto 4chan but without being an imageboard, and without the chaos and debauchery, and basically having nothing with 4chan at all except for having a lot of subject categories rido.gif )

Just a thought, though I think that might be best for a seperate site though. Which would mean that this is off-topic. Sorry. lango.gif

That's alright it's on topic enough lango.gif - if you haven't done so shoot a message about it on the Esperanto forum thread linked here once or twice (it's the one started by one of the Lernu! Teamanoj).

An Esperanto 4chan existed some time ago (esperantochan.co.cc, iirc), but it was closed.

Sorry for reviving the old thread. Just feel like sharing the news that there is a new Esperanto imageboard at Northpole.fi. It's not a whole chan like the late esperantochan.cc but just a single board, where you can discuss anything in or about Esperanto.

It is however a SFW place (means no porn). We think it helps drawing in users who might be uncomfortable with obscenity.

It's a fairly new board, just created yesterday by initiative of a few Krautchan/Northpole esperantists. In some sense the whole Esperanto chan culture is pretty new too, so feel free to post and create memes.

Anyway come check out the place! We chose Northpole because it's a fairly new chan site, hopefully with fewer trolls and shitposters. The mods are very efficient (we asked for /eo/ yesterday and get it in less than 24 hours, gee) And they have interfaces that allows you to do a lot of crazy things. So do come post and spread the news!

There isn't one- no more than there is *the* English forum or *the* Spanish forum. I have only seen a few Esperanto boards, and these are by far the most active.

YouTube has a EO community of sorts, and you might find some email lists to follow, but Lernu is your best bet for activity.

I am not sure tbh. Vikipedio gives "memeo", I think it's good enough. As long as it doesn't cause confusion with "mem". But ReVo doesn't have the word, implying that the PIV and Akademio probably hasn't chosen an "official" term yet.

I think mimo is good too though...
