I've decided to make an Esperanto zine, as I like zines. Please go to this page for more details. http://revueto.blogspot.com/

As yet I am thinking that it might be too much of a task and will fall apart, so the first thing I want to do is simply find people who'd be interested in providing something for the zine, no more. If I get enough interested people, with interesting ideas for content, I'll move to step two, which is getting those people to make that content.

I'm inspired by the fact that I'd like something fun, handmade, easily & cheaply reproduced and handsome, for people to read on the bus, take to the cafe, or show at their local kunsido; maybe even sell, but more likely just give away. okulumo.gif

I won't pay you, in case you were wondering! However, naturally, anything you made would belong to you, which means it might make money some time in the future, you never know.

If interested, write to me, or leave a comment here. I'll keep you on file and will call on you should I get to stage 2.

Translations of things your non-esperantist friends made is okay, too, if you are not of a creative bent.

I would like to contribute but I am too busy with my own tasks (educational Web site for young people learning to program computers). But the idea is great. Good luck.

I think that this is fantastic, and I'd love to be involved in the project. I'm a teacher, a lay preacher, and an active participant in my political party--so I've got something opinionated and controversial to say about everything from God to kids to how the country should be run (ornery grin).

I'm also fluent in Spanish, and I love to translate. I like to glean interesting things from news sources over the Internet that are not readily available in local news outlets. Let me know if I can be of assistance to you.

Thanks both. rideto.gif Geo, if you're game, you could ask one of your pupils to give you a short story they wrote in another class (200-1000 words), then ask one of the other guys on the Polish lernu! forum to translate it into EO for practice. (Only if it's a good story, though!)

OK, I'll try but not until september 2011 - there is holiday season for them in Poland. sal.gif

Hello. I would very much like to help out with your zine. I teach two elective esperanto courses in my University. At the moment I have about 40 students in the basic course and eight in the progressive one. I regularly give creative writing assignments to the progressive students, and some of the material is quite good. I would gladly send it to you, and it would probably be good for the kids to see their material published rido.gif

JesCed, thankyou, those contributions would be welcome. If your students can do drawings or interesting lettering for titles or other things like that, those can also be used. Send them via e-mail or PM. Geo, thanks, I'll PM you in September about it. sal.gif
