The aliens are the red haired girls, I have not done my scenes that is next weekend so you won't find me amongst the photos.
A tailor will be available soon... And to those who are proposing another language, originally the language was going to be English but with some letters missing and vowels changed around, I managed to convince the director that we would be able to get support "viewer wise" by making it Esperanto, and that I would put in the hard yards, translating, teaching, and promoting it to the Esperanto community. And why would anyone suggest Volapuk... seriously it sounds more earthly then Esperanto - Navi, and Klingon are both "owned" languages plus even If i wanted I don't know any of them. I hope that people will give any support they can to this project, otherwise it will die and Esperanto will remain in the shadows as something from a bygone era.
Think logically people, before ONE movie Navi was nothing now it has a mass of supporters, that's all we need!
About friend requesting Finkleflor Sin, the director is accepting ALL friend requests no matter what language they come in.

Evildela:Good point. Only Esperanto is public domain property at this group.

Evildela:I hope they will. Same they did to Conlang

Evildela:I wouldn't set that high expections like Navi-movie sucess.

Finaly, I like that idea, that film academy alumni/students making Esperanto language voiced movies or putting Esperanto language parts of it into the movies. I.e. Conlang, Senmova libera folio interview or 100 cent'(?; spanish director; I can find a web link right now).

Evildela:If you have a facebook account please become friends with Finkleflor Sin. For it is a new webseries coming online within the next few months, in which Esperanto plays an important part. This sounds completely insane...I'm definitely supporting this.
Plot: A humanoid alien's mission to find her murderous father is frustrated when she saves a free-lance prostitute from a power-hungry global CEO subverting her from hunter to haunted.
Four actors who play alien humanoids during the six part series have been required to speak in an alien language (Esperanto) Two of those aliens at this stage speak exclusively Esperanto, subtitled to English. We are currently about 25% of the way through filming, and I have been having heaps of fun teaching the actors how to correctly pronounce their lines. I also play a minor part in the series. WE need as much facebook "friend" support as we can get in order to gather further funding for a second series, Thanks for your time allIf the Esperanto community supports us enough then the whole series will be subtitled to Esperanto as a salute.

If we'd listen to everyone's notion of where it "makes sense" to use Esperanto, we wouldn't have cool stuff like this
this on a Final Fantasy game.

Also, for Diablo's link, since the Esperanto lyrics are missing on the video (they just flat out ignored them lol):
(HTML is not linked since I don't know if the site is trustworthy or not, my flash blocker means I don't see the ads, so if all the ads are of naked people killing all sorts of mortal things and taking drugs, I apologise_
http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/35308221078...:Fluas nun sango senkulpa(the English translation on the original site seems a bit off, especially for the last two bits which I think should be "(we) will not be pulled apart any more, (we) will no be tied apart any more!")
Sur Vana'diel, vasta ter'
Tremas la tuta mond'
Pro l' plago en desper'
Preventas gin* > ĝin
Nenia sort'
Haltigas gin* > ĝin
Nenia fort'
Sed tra la nokto tempesta
Brilas jen stelo de glor'!
Kontrau brutala kri'
Fontas jen kant-sonor'!
Stelo brilanta, kanto sonanta:
Revo kaj prego por ni!
Vana'diel! Vana'diel!
Mano kaj man' kunpremitaj
Trans la eterno sen lim'
Ne dismetigos plu* > dismetiĝos
Ne disligigos plu!* > disligiĝos

Diablo:Yeah, fuŝpuŝu ĝin* al limiton!
This sounds completely insane...I'm definitely supporting this.
*Espo
@Evildela: Just to get that right: "completly insane" = "plej mojosa"

The song can be heard at this video. 1:50 continuing.
Yes, Mazi is cool, too. Some times ago I did put the Kanto de la du amikoj into the eobokaraoke archive.

My apologies for my lack of clarity.

qwertz:@Kirilo81, geo63, Leke: Do you folks get it, that your comments could be somewhat demotivating to Evildela, who does much efforts to support an original esperanto language movie? Btw, what esperanto culture broading are you doing?I know this has been mentioned by Kirilo, but the wording used at least in English doesn't imply any attempt to demotivate, just to joke (by paying out Volapük for how strange it sounds - they know that such probably isn't possible though for Evildela, nor what he wants to do).
I'm guessing it's a cultural thing anyway. To an Australian though it seems funny, not mean or demotivational, and I'm sure Evildela didn't mind the comments.
All in the spirit of friendliness

As for the topic of aliens speaking Esperanto which I completely ignored, I guess if your aliens speak anything remotely recognisable as a language to humans, you're already relying on the suspension of disbelief to kick in for the most cynical of audiences, so should be fine

Who knows, perhaps it could be rationalised as the aliens finding Esperanto similar to their own humanoid-esque language, or liking the exotic sounds of it.
Or perhaps they came from an alternate dimension where Esperanto is a perfectly legit language.
Anything is possible in scifi if you make an allusion to multiverse theory with infinite parallel universes exploring every single possibility of existence
