Fou:I was wondering if any of you guys know good apps for learning Esperanto over the iPhone.

At the moment, I've got 3 apps: Ĝusta Klavaro, Intense EO and Esperanto Word of the Day.

P.S. I'm looking for an Esperanto dictionary. The one in this site is tailored to Android devices. XD
One of the goals of the ESPDIC project is to make a very large, easily-parsable dictionary available for applications like this.

http://www.denisowski.org/Esperanto/Esperanto.html

Right now the dictionary has about 32,000 entires, including phrases and usage examples. I've given it a Creative Commons license that allows other people to freely use it in their applications (including commercial applications) as long as it is properly attributed.

My long-term plan is to write an iPhone and/or Android app that incorporates ESPDIC, but I don't have the bandwidth to do it at the moment (I'm focusing on the dictionary at this point). With any luck someone will beat me to it ridulo.gif

There is a better app for iPhone than Gxusta Klavaro, it is called "Esperanta Klavaro". It adds an Esperanto keyboard to your regular keyboards (after you follow the instructions in the app). It is a bit slow, but it is much better than going to a different app every time you want to type in Esperanto.

And there is an app called "Esperanto English Dictinary Pro Free" by Sing Fu Chan That has a blue logo With the words "Esperanto" and "English" on it. I use it and it is pretty good.

I tried to look for the Esperanto Word of the Day app and I couldn't find it. Can you please give me a link to it or help me find it somehow?

I recommend MessagEase Keyboard, seeMessagEase is an alternative, non-QWERTY keyboard for your iPhone and iPad.

It also works well with Esperanto keyboards in iOS, switching it automatically between English (QWERTY) and Esperanto (ŜĜERTŬ?). It's great.

I type in Esperanto and English on The MessagEase Keyboard with one keyboard layout (Esperanto). ridulo.gif
