While I doubt this would gain serious traction due to all sorts of problems (and the fact it's an online petition), I do have a bit inside of me that loves the idea. It's like out of many a story where a character, in an effort to redeem themselves, or having no where to go, finds refuge in a church or temple or shrine (perhaps protected by the keeper of such, or protected by divinity, or a similarly able spirit).

So I'd support it under the idea of it simply being an awesome idea. Practicality and working out the numerous problems it could create can come later .

Although I'd be very dissapointed if the US govt somehow managed to accept something as ambitious as this before sorting out some.. pressing financial issues/timebombs.

To bring this to a more... Esperantic theme, perhaps a fun idea might be to create a "legal system" based on Zamenhoffian or Esperantic values... Like the normal, default system for loaning be based off of Islamic banking (e.g. no interest for either party etc), but as long as specifications are made clear and intelligible for all who can be legally serviced, special arrangements can be made for those wishing to employ more capitalist methods.

Thanks for your signature. I did a little redrafting. If the suspect has committed a crime in which s/he purposefully put another's life in danger, the officer has the right to remove them from the building with a court issued warrant. If the suspect is dangerous, then he is instantly able to remove the suspect from the building.
