There's a multilingual one out there with more in-depth application of "knowledge", that's also multilingual (to a theoretical infinite extent, since it merely gives replies based on what questions/statements have been made, and chooses the writing that would be appropriate).

I forgot its name though. I think EO-ists had been mucking around with it since it was pretty confident it spoke Españolosperanto.

I'm a little late to the thread (duh!) but I was just thinking about this topic as I started a project using Ruby in the last few days. I wondered if anyone was using Ruby for building AIs.

It then occurred to me that Esperanto seemed like a good fit for an AI language (regular and comparatively simple) which led me to wondering if anyone has written an Esperanto chatbot (obviously, not the same as an AI but that was my train of thought).

A search of Esperanto chatbot brought up this thread in the first few results.

I may work on one(Esperanto chatbot, not Esperanto AI) after I finish my current project. I think it would be interesting (of course, it could also be another project I don't have time for. . .)

This also makes me wonder if any users have ever attempted to teach one of the existing AIs out on the web any Esperanto. The process would be similar to how they initially learn english. Some sites actually offer a relatively untrained AI that you can start from scratch with. May have to put that on the "someday" list as well.

I just had a chat with the bot and this really made me laugh!

Me: Cxu vi estas virino? (are you a woman?)
Bot: Cxu eble vi volus esti virino? (Perhaps you would like to be a woman?)
Me: Ne! (no!)
