apart of the holy congress locations of UK/Kopenhagen there happened some mini-concert at the cargo area of an small lorry/truck. (How to describe that with more proper English?)

qwertz:Slu/Sal'Something like "There was some mini-concert in the back of a small truck/lorry". I guess. Cargo area is correct, but we rarely use words like that unless we need to be specific, e.g. "hey don't worry about those small bags just stick them in the back of the truck/in the cargo area". In fact, normally we just say 'back of the truck' in Australia and nothing else

ĝp,
(quick note, if you wanna use "happen-", you can say "there was some mini-concert happening". Otherwise it's more natural to say "some mini-concert was happening there if there's no "is/am/are/was/were" being used)

qwertz:Thanks ceigered. I still have to read more books to get the proper feeling for English expressions.Well, you're doing damn good so far, just little phrases that make sense but seem wrong is all Although they do make me go "damn, that should probably be acceptable" or "that's an intuitive way of saying XYZ". I wonder why a lot of the expressive power in basic English has degraded....
