Recently I found an online poll asking people what they think will be the future global language, here is the link in case anyone wants to go vote for Esperanto:
The Future Global Language.

Ĝis!

Needs to be turned into "[ LIG=www.google.com ]blahblah [ / LIG ]" tags, the browser thinks it's an email address.

And just to stir up the pot: I voted for Interlingua okulumo.gif rido.gif (LEAVE YOUR HANDS OFF OF MY PURE LITTLE ESPERANTO, WORLD!)

Why Esperanto? Polish is the only reasonable choice (I write this because I don't want my grandchildren to learn Chinese). senkulpa.gif

INTER = between

So it it is not a language, but something between. okulumo.gif

Interestingly though -

Esperanto gets 75% (2008 people) of the vote for Constructed languages, with Ido 2nd (162) and Interlingua 3rd (131 (6% and 5% respectively).

That's actually an alright turn out for constructed language aficionados...

280 though think a new language would be needed.

(English wins for Natlangs, but like 300 or something votes. Next for Natlangs was "Some other one", 280 votes... What is this "other" language?!)

And someone voted for Solresol. Frick yeah.

(I think the Esperantists primarily are those finding the site., perhaps turning this into something more like)

Explains why international conferences are so hard to find for many conlangs except in Europe - most other countries don't like you holding rallies and social events on their borders! rido.gif

I'd like to hope that Esperanto's population demographics aren't just people doing the exact same thing lango.gif.

It'd be funny if this was actually a test done by the UN to choose an international language, and without knowing it, EO finvenk-ed okulumo.gif

We'd then have to delete these comments and pretend that no one ever voted more than once... or twice... rido.gif

I was tempted to vote for English, I really was. But then I remembered Claude Piron's video and voted for Esperanto. Hura! How good to feel that I did The Right Thing. rido.gif

You are wrong !!!!!
Count:
me
my wife
my daughter
-----------
3 persons = 3 votes. How can I do it when they block me after first vote? So I think that the actual number is way too small. sal.gif

PS: I have voted again for my brother!!! So it is 4 votes now (my grandfather does not care, so I will stay with 4 votes).
