I'm confused. I did the basic exam and the result said I passed it since it didn't have more than 1 error per section (48 out of 50 total) but the successful exams part (below tasks at AR) doesn't appear to reflect that and leaves me to beleive I'll need to wait 7 days and re-do the test. Do I need to have it perfect?

What does it say at http://en.lernu.net/mia_lernu/ekzamenoj/miaj_rezul... in your account - "pasis" or "ne pasis"?

Here is what it looks like:
Kampo... Nivelo.. Rezulto. Poentoj. Tempo... Dato....
lingva..... a........ {blank}.. 48....... 19:32.... 2007-03-13.

That looks like a software bug to me, it should say "pasis" or "ne pasis" where you have {blank} in your account. Drop an e-mail to teamo ĉe lernu punkto net about it and the team will take a look.

It's a software bug.

The team got your message and there are discussions going on right now about how to fix the issue.

The root of the problem is that the terminology has changed - everything used to say pasis/ne pasis, but that is being changed to sukcesis/ne sukcesis. Somewhere in the change of wording, something in the programming was messed up and that column stopped working properly. I think it should be fixed in a day or so.

In any case, I think it's just a problem of what is displayed. I am almost 100% sure that your exam is registered properly. You don't have to take it again!

That's cool. Once the problem is fix, will it be possible to go back in the correction to review it again?

Ah! It does show Sukcesis now. But shouldn't it show (1) next to successful exams?

It should. I've sent a message to the team about it, hopefully someone should fix this soon.

No. This isn't a feature we offer because of concern that someone could just print out a complete set of questions and answers, and memorize the correct ones rather than studying the grammar.

We have tried to make the exam as meaningful as possible within the obvious constraints.

Next time you take an exam, if you want to keep your results, you could copy the results page and paste it into a file on your computer, though.

I had a different problem when taking the exam: at the listening comprehension section, when I pressed the mp3 format button, it took me to a new page and when I went back to the exam, all my answers were cleared! (I figured out a few minutes later that if I had pressed the swf format button, all would have been OK.)

Now, there *is* a note before you get to the exam page about doing a sound check, but I didn't pay enough attention to it because I've been doing the various courses with listening exercises without a problem.

Maybe another warning could be placed on the exam page itself to alert the stultulojn like me to doublecheck...

If you ignored the first warning, why not just ignore the second? Putting more warnings, imo, does not much at all...
