hiyayaywhopee:It's really important, I think, to have someone that you can meet and practice Esperanto with. That's definitivly the best way to memorize and motivate Esperanto vocabulary with personal experiences.

Funny enough, my main goal is to be able to read Esperanto Literature and perhaps write literature in Esperanto. Though I understand that speaking it would be a major step forward, but I need to take baby steps as learning a non-native language has always been very difficult for me, but that is why I am enjoying the challenge.

Zedwardson:As a question, what do you recommend for a English-Esperanto dictionary? The one by Wells.

However, I do not recommend buying it now unless you really need it. I have it on good authority that a new edition is being prepared, and I'd wait till the new one comes out.

erinja:..Benson.. I have it on good authority that a new edition is being prepared..Ĉu vere! Do you know when it will be published, at least roughly?

Miland:Do you know when it will be published, at least roughly?I don't know, sorry. The only thing I know is that it's in the editing stages, so the basic text must be ready.

erinja:it's in the editing stages..If someone has Benson's email address, they should let him know that under "please", plaĉi should be marked as (ntr), not (tr), since it doesn't take a direct object.

Miland:It obviously can (though it rarely does) take an -n, even if you consider it just a replacement for al.erinja:it's in the editing stages..If someone has Benson's email address, they should let him know that under "please", plaĉi should be marked as (ntr), not (tr), since it doesn't take a direct object.
We discussed this about two years ago, here: Plaĉi al mi and/or plaĉi min - seems that in that thread you had a different position to now.
