Unfortunately there are no reviews as it's a recent publication. Has anyone got this? If so I'd appreciate your views especially as there's another dictionary at Amazon that's got some bad reviews so I'm feeling a little cautious.

But as it is only £2-13, why not buy it and let us know if it is any good - or write a review for Amazon.
If it is absolutely awful, perhaps Amazon will reimburse you.

I don't know anything about these Kindle books. Does anyone just post their offerings up on the site? Who exactly is 'Ray Kay'? I can't find any information about him on Google.

I'll probably get it anyway.

Chainy:Try clicking on the name of the author and it brings up other books by him. It's a bizarrely random mixture of things. It makes me have doubts about the quality. Are they just copy-and-paste jobs from the internet? The book covers look hilariously amateurish!Did that, 218 books published between 21 Feb 2011 and 11 Nov 2011, I think we can make a good guess at the quality. Now I have the same reservations as you however about the cover I'm sure there's an old saying about that

If the book is any good, how can it only cost GBP2? Particularly as it's a dictionary, something very difficult to compile. Unless, of course, you nick it from an existing one on the internet.

Unless, of course, you nick it from an existing one on the internet.Whether it's stolen or not will depend on the copyright of his sources. However, a Kindle dictionary has specific functionality in that you can (almost) automatically look up the meanings of words while reading a book. If the author has created a dictionary that can do this then it may be worth a couple of quid.

I suspect it's just a long list of words. If not, then the description needs to be vastly improved.

Chainy:By the way, on the right hand side of the page you will see the option to have a sample version sent to your Kindle. That could be worth trying. The main concern I have is the extent of the word coverage and a sample won't help with that but yes, I'll do that first and at least see if it works like a normal Kindle dictionary. If I get it I'll write a review.
