For example:
What is it made of?
It is made of glass.
Perhaps?...
Kio ĉi tio konstruis de?
Ĝi konstruis de vitro.
Thanks

Leke:How do we say made of in Esperanto?Konstrui is a transitive verb so we wouldn't say that. Stick the ending -iĝ on the end of that verb and we have the intransitive konstruiĝi. And from this, one way we can say these sentences is:
For example:
What is it made of?
It is made of glass.
Perhaps?...
Kio ĉi tio konstruis de?
Ĝi konstruis de vitro.
-Per kio konstruiĝas ĉi tio?
-Ĝi konstruiĝas de vitro.
That is, of course, just one way to say it. I'm still tossing up on whether konstrui is even the best word to use for make in this case. I might use fari or fabriki for that instead. Any thoughts?

ghi estas el vitro.
or you can replace "estas" with "konsistas".

El kio konstruiĝas tiu ĉi glaso?
Tiu ĉi glaso konstruiĝas el vitro.

Konstrui = build, Fari = do/make.
Also, we have Fabriki = manufacture and Konsisti (el) = consist (of).
Fabrikita en Ĉinujo - made in China.
Farita en Ĉinujo - depending on context could be Made in China or Done in China, though most likely for the latter meaning it would be 'Farata en Ĉinujo'.

erinja:Since fari means not only "to do" but also "to make", I'd be inclined to say "El kio ĝi estas farita? Ĝi estas farita el vitro"I like this in its context. I didn't realise Esperanto had the past passive participle. I've just learned about it in Finnish, which was what inspired the original question.
BTW, congrats on 3000+ posts

Leke:devenigis el = originated from(?)"deveni el" would mean "originated from" (as in, it came from a place)
"devenigi" is to cause something to originate, because the -ig- suffix is causative. I can't think of a context when I'd use "devenigi" but I'm sure that there's some situation where you could work it in.
