I would like to know what is the standard way to say "and so on" / "and so forth" in Esperanto?
There is my try: "tiel sinsekve".
Any comment would be greatly appreciated.

I did think to that expression, but I wasn't sure wether it is effectively capturing this meaning or not.
Thank you again!

erinja:"kaj tiel plu", which is used as Esperanto's version of "et cetera".Is the initialism 'ktp.' accepted? That sort of agreed shorthand makes things a lot easier.
I was trying render et cetera myself and I considered:
Kaj la restaĵo
or
Kaj la resto
That's what et cetera literally means. No sense in using it though if it is unrecognised.

Cetere, has the meaning of 'and another thing' or 'moreover, or 'by the way' - very useful in developing an argument in the forums.
Cetere, mi ne asertis ke ŝi amas min, nur ke ŝi estas amikino.

sudanglo:Yes, and sometimes people say KoToPo instead of kaj tiel plu.Oh I see, many thanks. I didn't even realise that 'cetere' was part of the lexicon. I was taking 'ceterum' directly from Latin.

I now wonder why 'kaj la cetera' [edit] isn't the common phrase. It's seems very intuitive. And shorter.

Tjeri:Literally "et caetera" is: kaj la ceteroActually it’s et cetera in Latin, and that cetera is a plural adjective, so a "literal" translation would be kaj la ceteraj.

The Latin expression "id est" (i.e.), meaning "that is", is rendered in Esperanto as "tio estas", abbreviated as t.e.
We also have "kaj simile" (or "kaj similaj") (and similar), abbreviated as k.s.
The Latin e.g. (exempli gratia) is rendered as ekz. in Esperanto ("ekzemple", "for example")
