The darkest roast of coffee is called French Roast. It is roasted at a high temperature and is pulled out of the roaster not too long before it turns into charcoal. It has a deep, smokey flavour which I like. They say you either love the taste of it or hate it.

I was wondering if it would be called 'Franca Rosto' in Esperanto or maybe 'franc-rosta kafo', or...?

Wikipedia has "Italian roast" and "Spanish roast" still darker than French roast.

I might call French roast coffee "franc-rostita kafo". But for people who are not specialists, and do not necessary recognize or care about the different gradations of dark, I think most people would find it sufficient to speak of "malhel-rostita", "mez-rostita", "malhel-rostita", and eventually "malheleg-rostita" coffee.
