Could someone help me understand the following sentance.
Fakte al mi pli pacxas sumero ol vintero
As I understand this means:
It is a fact that sumer is more pleasing to me (I) then winter.
is that correct and is there an easier way to translate?
In particular the word al confuses me (it just seems out of place).
Could you say: fakte mi pli pacxas sumero ol vintero - It is a fact summer pleases me more then winter
Kind regards
Andrew

you could alternativelty say that as:
fakte, sumero pli placxas al mi ol vintero.
but even that is a tad awkward.
the sentence is supposed to literally translate as 'actually, summer is more pleasing to me than winter'.
it may be a bit odd for english, but this is normal in the romance languages (such as the infamous spanish phrase 'me gusta', literally means 'it pleases me')

thanks for the response
your right about trying to get used to the word order, i suppose the only way to get around that is practice on my part.
thanks for pointing out that fakte could also be read as actually
Kind regards
Andy
