Hi,

In the English,
I would imagine so.
I would imagine it to be.
I imagine it would be.
(All pretty much the same meaning).

In Esperanto, what would you best understand or recommend?
Mi imagus sekve.
Mi imagus ĝin esti.
Mi imagas ĝin estus.
(or perhaps something else?)

I would imagine the first translation, but I'm interested to know what you think of the other to with the use of 'to be'.

Thanks.

PS. I've just noticed the x notation is working on the forum ridulo.gif

The meaning of imagine in I would imagine so is more supozi than imagi.
I would say Mi supozas, ke jes or Mi tiel supozus.

HB, when translating English's 'it' into Esperanto, you have to choose between ĝi and tio, or leaving it out. For I imagine it would be difficult, - mi supozas/imagas, ke tio estus malfacila. or Mi supozas, ke estus malfacile ....

Yes perhaps you could HB, depending on the situation. But it feels a little incomplete to me.
