Evildela:Esperanto has many words to express the concept of pattern, some relate to templates, some relate to physical objects. But is there a single all-encompassing word, that covers the idea of a reoccurring event, object, thing ktp without necessarily explain that which is reoccurring. What sprang to my wind was reokazaĵo. Or is this something that needs to be rewritten.
Example:
I see patterns in his work

For I see patterns in his work, maybe you could say Mi rimarkis certajn tendencojn en lia(j) verko(j), (or subkuŝanta logiko)
Of course, 'work' also has different translations in Esperanto depending on the specific meaning.
I'm not sure we need to promote any of the existing roots in Esperanto to the same generality as the English word 'pattern' (or to conjure a neologismo), however my impression is that English speakers rely heavily on ŝablono.
But according to NPIV ŝablona verko is not very complimentary (see entry 3.)

Evildela:That's why I didn't use "ŝablono" because it has negative connotations. I understand the English "pattern" has many meanings, but as I also said, I was looking for a word or simple construction that implied, something which is repetitive in it's nature. "certajn tendencojn" is getting closer to what I was looking for.I haven't been around here long enough to _know_ the best answer but does the word "ripeteco" get close to your meaning? Or have I just created an abomination?
