A brand new "slang" word for Esperanto!

(Please forsake me in advance for any little silly grammar mistakes I make, for my country isn't English speaking natively..)

Hi everyone and fellow believers, I would just like to share with you a cool new awesome slang word I've just come up with..

The problem is, I seriously found Esperanto lacking some fundamental expressions. Say for instance, you say something like: "I don't wanna be with you, don't you get it..?" In Esperanto that would be like: "Mi ne volas esti kun vi, ĉu vi ne komprenas ĝin?" which sound kinda funny, or even worse: "..ĉu vi ne recivas ĝin?" is awkward indeed. A nice and appealing solution for this would be borrowing an existing word to use only on these particular situations~~ "nodi" (To get)

I got the idea from an article in Wikipedia discussing about interesting Esperanto dialect attempts, which one of them is called "Universal". In Universal words become antonyms by the inversion of their letters, thus making donu (=give) into nodu (=get) (mega "big", gema "little"; donu "give", nodu "receive"; tela "far", leta "near")

Now, I'm absolutely aware of the problem that "nodi" already IS in fact an existing word in Esperanto.. But, accordingly with the Academy rules, a word may carry more then one meaning if they can't be confused with one another, and are used in different context.. Meaning it Should be ok.. right?

Please help spread the idea so it would be lots of fun! (Man that was tiring.. ;*~*)

Esperanto doesn't need any slang - slang is one thing that makes languages difficult and not logical. Esperanto should be simlple and pure. A friendly languages for all.

I'm all up for slang, and already use words such as otako, mojosa, ktp... but proposing slang never goes down well, it's one of those things that happens to just come about. If you want a word like this to work out, you just have to use it and hope for the best. Slang is usually unplanned, but then again mojosa was planned, but hey, I only use mojosa because it sounds cool, but nodi, doesn't really do anything for me, maybe a play on an existing by rarely used root would work better, but expect alot of rejection, even mojosa which is well established is still frequently attacked.

I'm amazed by the frequent suggestions on here and on other sites that the language be changed in some way. Esperanto has changed a bit over the years but one of the key elements in making it the most successful of the planned languages is that such change has been natural and gradual- through usage, not by decree. Things written in the nineteenth century are still clearly understandable.

In the sentence you gave as an example:"Mi ne volas esti kun vi, ĉu vi ne komprenas ĝin?"- "ĝin" should be "tion" and it's not really necessary to finish the question with a pronoun at all- "Mi ne volas esti kun vi, ĉu vi ne komprenas?" I'm sorry to have to disagree with you, but I don't think it sounds at all awkward.

However, as Evildela said, if you want to try using your proposed word, go ahead. I think you'll have a hard time being understood. If it were to gain popularity (doubtful) it would become part of the language. I've always followed the saying "Be not the first by whom the new are tried, nor yet the last to lay the old aside." I think that feeling is common among speakers of Esperanto.

Slang words are not something, someone comes up with. They come up by themselfes. Sometimes.

Sometimes you would hear "Ĉu vi ne kaptas tion?"

this one seems "slangish" and short to me
