Hi there! I hope this message finds everyone well. My husband and I just started learning Esperanto, and I am interested in joining a group where we can practice writing, reading, and speaking. I know a group formed earlier this year, but if anyone was looking to start their studies now (or if that group was still accepting members!), I'd love to get in touch and get the ball rolling.

Thanks so much, and please enjoy the rest of your day!

Best,
Andrea H.

I have the same question ridulo.gif I've learned Esperanto for one semester, but moved to another country and don't have opportunity to learn it at language school.

Is there any group or anybody who want to take part in group learning?

That would be great. I feel like learning a language by yourself kind of defeats the purpose. If i had wanted to do that, I'd be learning Volpük ridulo.gif (nothing against the language, but nobody speaks it) So, I say, "let's do this thing!"

Check here for a local group: http://www.esperanto-usa.org/en/content/local-grou...

Here is a website that limits itself to the 700 most common E-O words and has some spoken articles: http://facila.org/
And another that limits itself to 875 most common roots: http://kontakto.tejo.org/
Kontakto has its own wordlist on http://www.memrise.com

There are several E-O groups on groups.yahoo.com and google groups. Skype seems to be a popular means of meeting and ipernia.com has a large collection of active E-O users. Not to mention the message / postcard / instant messenger hosted right here on lernu. There are almost enough of us to start our own group.

Ĝis,

Dejvo [Jes, mi elektis malĝusta kromnomo!]

P.S. Isn't there a music group by the name of Volpük? At least one person speaks it and offers a 10 lesson postal course!

............when i visit the page its seems we require to pay for membership...no free web for studying group?

Sorry, but the first site I gave above is based in the USA so that is where their clubs are listed. It is hard for me to think of the internet as connecting [almost?] every nation in the world. Although they are pushing to get paying members I believe you don't have to be a member to join one of the clubs and looking up the clubs is free. I'm not a member.

Those other sites are free.

Ĝis,

Dejvo

I don't mind learning/practicing with other people, though it would be impossible to meet in person. My mic isn't working at the moment, so it would be limited to text chatting. I'm a beginner though I do learn quickly, and hopefully getting a partner would make me more likely to stick to learning Esperanto, as I tend to get bored and stop every so often. I am also studying Spanish which I'm semi-fluent in as well. If anyone is interested, just reply to me. I have MSN/AIM/Skype. Let me know which one is more convenient.
