You anywhere near Iowa City, IA? If so, zip me a message and I'll give you my contact info.

In general, this is a big problem in the US, since there are probably no more than 2000 speakers at a level anywhere above eterna komencanto in the entire country (obviously 2000 is a very generous estimate!)

Unfortunately, there are clumps only in the major cities (NY, Chicago, SF) and the rest of us are on Gilligan's Island as far as Esperanto goes.

Thanks for the offer. I'm in Washington state, which is kinda close, but not enough to meet in person. Until then, SFX has been keeping me good company (via email, not irl).

I don't mind learning/practicing with other people, though it would be impossible to meet in person. My mic isn't working at the moment, so it would be limited to text chatting. I'm a beginner though I do learn quickly, and hopefully getting a partner would make me more likely to stick to learning Esperanto, as I tend to get bored and stop every so often. I am also studying Spanish which I'm semi-fluent in as well. If anyone is interested, just reply to me. I have MSN/AIM/Skype. Let me know which one is more convenient.
