Dear friends, I am a newbie. I started learning Esperanto only a week back. Only in a week-time I am able to chat with my Facebook friends with the help of dictionary but I must say that I still have the problems of a beginner. I am using this forum to get your help because in spite of consulting various books I could not self-clarify them.
My Problems:
1. why is 'Nasikigxi', Birth but 'nasiko' not?
2. Why does not 'kuro' convey the meaning of 'Kurado'?
3. Can we say 'Parilanta Esperanto' for Spoken Esperanto?
4. Why is it wrong to say 'parilata Esperanto' or 'Pariita Esperanto' for that matter?
I am really confused about the uses of active and passive in Esperanto.
Thanking you,
Raj.

The root naski means "to give birth". So naskiĝi means "to be born".
The noun forms of these words are nasko which means "delivery; childbirth; what happens when you give birth". It's not as common a word as naskiĝo, which means "being delivered; birth; what happens when you are born". This is what we normally refer to as someone's birth.
Note the regularity in suffixes!
Edit: We must have answered at the same time! Your explanation is perfectly fine, and mine does not seek to contradict it.

I don't understand when to use ado. How do you know to use ado instead of o.

Aaron94:Mi ne komprenas kiam uzi "ado". Kiel oni scias uzi ado anstatŭ o?When you want to refer to the act of doing something.

The act of reading: legado
The act of writing: skribado
The act of tv watching: televidilspektado
I like reading. Legado plaĉas al mi.
Writing is hard. Skribado estas malfacila.
Watching tv is a waste of time. Televidilspektado tempomalŝparas.

O kaj ado ambaŭ igas vorto iĝi substantivo sed ili havas diferncajn signifojn. Tion, mi ne komprenas.
I wanted to know more about "ado" than "adi". I think I understand "adi". It means to do something for a longer time right?
O and ado both cause a word to become a noun but they have different meanings. That, I don't understand.
