Saluton,

i have read an article about Esperanto community, and i found one vocabulary, which i dont know what does it mean in English. I try to look up in many dictionaries, but there's none. That vocabulary is "kompanjos" in this sentence " Esperanto-parolantoj kampanjos dum 2013 por lingva justeco per la slogano "Justa Komunikado" .......

Can you tell what does it mean? Thanks ridulo.gif

Mi supozas, ke ĝi devenas el la Esperanta substantivo (Kampanjo), kiu estas sistemo de agado, por atingi difinitan celon, ekscitante la publikan opinion. Do, mi tradukus ĝin kiel - Esperanto-parolantoj partoprenos en organizita grupo por atentigi la publikon pri lingva justeco per la slogano "Justa Komunikado"

I suppose, it comes from the Esperanto noun, (campaign), which is a system of action, with the objective of reaching a defined goal, while exciting the public’s opinion. Therefore, I would translate it as - Esperanto speakers will take part in an organised group, to bring the public’s attention to language justice through means of the slogan "Fair communication"

Kampanjo (note spelling) is in the Lernu dictionary.

Find this to the right of forum pages, you may have to click on the side-bar arrow to reveal.

Kampanjo - campaign
