I wish to say, "How happy it makes me when I can do that!"
I am stumbling about trying to determine if I would use tion or ĝin in this sentence: "Kiel feliĉe tio min faras, kiam mi povas fari tion!" Which (if either) would be correct at the end?

This is my rule of thumb, although old texts will not necessarily follow this rule:
Can you name the specific noun that "ĝi" is replacing? No? In that case, use "tio".
In your sentence, if you said "do it", what would the noun form of "it" be?
If you meant, to do a cake, then "ĝi" would be correct. But if you mean "do it" in terms of doing an action, doing a verb, going somewhere, seeing something, an action versus a noun, then you want "tio".
