I just did Esperanto for a couple of minutes, and I noticed that it says "Esperantisto".
The Esperanto word for Esperantist is "Esperantano".

Nile:It definitely seems cool.we are adding this week a feature to edit mistakes like this, to make our life easy as we have almost 90 languages and it's hard to cope with all of them

Usually:
Esperantist = Esperantisto
Esperantano = a person, who is supportive of Esperanto, but not a speaker (maybe he is learning or is waiting that other people in sufficient numbers begin to study it with him OR just finds the idea worthy of support but thinks it isn't ever going to take off)
Menciindas, that Esperantist is not a common word in English or even easily understandable. Better word would be Esperantophone in my mind.

You may have misunderstood Don's page. The page doesn't say that "esperantano" is the term that is used; Don is saying that the use of "esperantisto" isn't logical, and that "esperantano" is more logical, in his opinion. Community usage isn't always the most logical possible choice. You can decide for yourself whether you choose to use the word that the rest of the Esperanto speaking community uses (esperantisto) or whether you want to stand basically alone with your usage and use a word that pretty much no one uses, but that some people might argue is more logical (esperantano).
If you want to speak about Don's own usage - I am unaware of a place where he actually used the word "esperantano" in his own writing, in spite of his suggestion on his website that it might be more logical. He seems to have used "esperantisto" like everyone else.
I have seen something to suggest that an "esperantano" would be a person who supports the idea of Esperanto but doesn't actually speak it; that would be a word with a separate meaning from "esperantisto".
