NJ Esperantist:I hate to admit it, but I can't figure something out. When I get a small check cashed at our bank, I always ask for the cash in 5's and 10's (5 and 10 dollar bills). How would I say 'I'd like this cashed in 5's and 10's in Esperanto.Just want to say I just noticed that I have the same problem as half the people in the world. The title of this thread was supposed to be Money Lingo... Can't wait until we can edit our subject headings. -DR

robbkvasnak:Supposing that the bank teller speaks Esperanto, I would say"Bonvolu doni al mi biletojn de kvin kaj dek (steloj, eŭroj, dolaroj, ktp)."Dankon! It's not so much a real world situation as it is me wondering how it would be expressed. Theoretically Esperanto can be used in every situation, even if they don't actually come up outside of fiction.

Pagu min en kvinoj kaj dekoj, mi petas.
Or if there is a danger, of you being paid in coins rather than notes, you can be more explicit, as Robb suggests.
