Check out the word of the day for April 9, 2015

This is the example sentence:

Esperanto: Mi elektis la malĝustan semajnan por haltas flaresplori gluo.

English: I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

Brilliant! XD

As an aside: The vox/audio gave a stutter on gluo, which really drove the point home.

Alkanadi:Esperanto: Mi elektis la malĝustan semajnan por haltas flaresplori gluo.
This sentence is definitely wrong. It should be something like "Mi elektis la malĝustan semajnon por ĉesi flari/enspiri gluon."

You are right about semajnon. I don't know about the other parts

Ha, that line is from the movie Airplane.

Sounds to me like the speaker is saying: Mi elektis la malĝustan semajnan por halti flaresplori gluo.

"Flaresplori gluon" sounds a bit awkward. "Glusnufado" is shorter. "Haltas" is definitely wrong; it should be an infinitive (and I wonder if ĉesi isn't more appropriate, since halti usually suggests a motion, e.g. to "halt", rather than to "quit" or to "cease".)

The translator appears to have just translated all the words in to Esperanto from English directly, which doesn't always render the most natural-sounding text. Esperanto is often more flexible.

I would have said something like: Mi elektis maloportunan semajnon por ĉesigi glusnufadon.

@Alkanadi, you may be interested in this thread here.

Essentially, I don't recommend that website for learning Esperanto. The quality of its content is in general abysmal.

This would go well in a book/tutorial called Learn Batshit Crazy Esperanto.
