noureddin:I have a small question about "ŭ": If it's forbidden to use "ŭ" as the first letter in a syllable, how is "ŭo" a permitted word? I think, it's the only exception.It's the name of the letter.
There is also Uxato, sometimes seen, and even more rarely Uxasxingtono. Uxa, uxa is the cry of the little child.

I was basing my comment on informal usage (e.g. chat rooms and casual spoken conversation). Or I might have been mishearing the ux as a v.
I kind of like vaux, though, come to think of it ... I've used it a few times, there didn't seem to be any confusion what I meant.
