I think the ride is scary. It will give me nightmares.
Mi pensas, ke la amuz-rajdo estas timiga. Ĝi donos min koŝmaroj.
By the word scary I mean that it scares people who go on it. Is this correct?
Also, do you say that something can give you nightmares in Esperanto?

Ĝi donos al mi koŝmarojn. In such sentences you should have one indirect object and one direct object.
Compare - give me the book (donu al mi la libron)
I don't see why one couldn't use doni with koŝmaroj, though I couldn't find an example in the Tekstaro.
Alternatives might be:
spertigos al mi koŝmarojn.
mi estos turmentita de koŝmaroj.
tio perturbos/pri-hantos mian dormon.
la sperto invados en mian dormon.
Perhaps you could make a verb out of koŝmaro -koŝmari/koŝmarumi/koŝmarigi
