Maybe, someone can recreate a similar type of site.

ravana:In that time lernu did not exist so it was the best way to practice esperanto . It had everything , from news to chat .What type of chat feature did it have? Was it like instant messenger? Did it include voice? Was it just a normal forum?

Gxangalo was the best Eo site that ever existed. It was an online magazine.. current events, human interest, lifestyle.. all that.
But, it was higher level text. It was not easy for those just learning. Flavio insisted on keeping the language level for the fluent. At the time I remember thinking he might have more readers if there was a beginner section.

I guess it was too costly to hire writers for that kind of thing.
