The Zamenhof text is available online, so it's easy enough to take a look at it.

erinja:Is it available as a pdf file? I haven't seen it among the Inko books like Lingvaj Respondoj or Proverbaro Esperanta.

russ:it's interesting to notice words and expressions that are no longer popular. And to find jokes and stories that are still being told today!
The FK is also available as text and HTML at Project Gutenberg: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/8224

Tomo S. Vulpo:Is there a version of it that is not in Esperanto? Some bits of it have been translated into other languages, but the FK is not instructions... it's a collection of Esperanto texts, a reader for those who have already learned some Esperanto.
It is easier to learn a language if the instructions are not in the very language you have yet to learn.
Interesting idea, though. Parallel translation into other languages would be a good learning resource.
