"Ĉielarkano" is just a suggestion. Maybe there is another more inclusive term that just feels fine for us all, no matter what our physical attributes are and how we identify and what we love and how we love and whom we love.
If we can all just acknowledge that we are together because we need each other, totally, that we want each others' support and love, then we will be just fine.
Any comments?

Oportet:A does not stand for Ally. By definition of being an Ally, that is someone who is not LGBTQA but still supports them, you cannot be a part of the LGBTQA definition/group. I've always heard the A standing for Asexual/Aromantic/Agender.I feel the sentiment that undergirds this, but I have to disagree to its absolutism as well as the argument. As to the argument, by definition an ally is someone who supports gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ace people. So you're only correct if LGBTQA is strictly defined that way, not the other way around. Your argument is circular.
I would have left this well enough alone, but this is a good lead in to pointing out the acronym is contested with multiple understandings. And there is a good conversation to be had about allies sometimes being lumped in the acronym (LGBTQA people showed up to protest the new law) and sometimes out of it (LGBTQA people face disproportionate discrimination their straight counterparts do not). And a real conversation about how allies should expect to sometimes not be a stakeholder, yes, even in the alphabet soup.
But it is a far cry to say that the "A" always excludes allies.

robbkvasnak:I really like the sound of that, it sounds really pretty and it is pretty inclusive. This would cover all of the lettes of the standard LGBT, and also non-binary, asexual, etc people. Thank you!

Speaking of which - What is a good Esperanto translation for "asexuality"? The best I could do is neniuseksemo, to mimic the existing samseksemo, ambauxseksemo, aliseksemo but I keep feeling there's a better alternative I'm not seeing.
We could just import aseksual/ but this seems to be a cheap solution.

Tempodivalse:In my experience, few people read the "A" as "asexual" - in fact, a lot of people seem to be dismissive of it (unfortunately even in the LGBT community). This seems to be changing nowadays, though - as I can see by the fact nobody in this thread thought twice about it.neseksema?

Although, agender is under the umbrella of transgender.

I think neseksema is the best translation but I haven't checked Sonja's dictionary yet.

erinja:I think neseksema is the best translation but I haven't checked Sonja's dictionary yet.I checked it (here), and you are right. For the meaning "not sexually attracted to people", Sonja's dictionary gives neseksema as a translation for asexual.

There's a little too much cod-philosophy hanging around this movement.
