Maldekstraismo = an ideology that occupies itself with left sided things. Maybe, it is a movement for people who are left handed. Or, maybe it is a religious ideology that says you have to eat and do everything, as much as possible, using the left.
Left wing needs to be defined more specifically. Do you mean socialistic and/or liberal? Then you would need to come up with a term that represents this concept. I think socialismo is good unless you also want it to be about liberalism.

Ĉi tie (write it as two words), but instead of ĉi tie mi estas for 'here we are', perhaps 'Jen mi alvenis' or 'Jen la konferenco'
The name of the conference on the board is a bit peculiar in English (why 'current', why twice international), but what you can't do in Esperanto is just string a whole lot of nouns together as separate words.
You wrote Internacia Komunisto Kurento Internacio Konferenco.
And Kurento is current as in electric current.
Perhaps Tutmonda Konferenco pri Nuntempa Internacia Komunismo

The name of the conference on the board is a bit peculiar in English (why 'current', why twice international),Well I'm not the original author so any questions about the english should really be sent here, but in this case it makes sense in English, because its about the group, the International Communist Current (the name of the group) and this is there International Conference(the name and purpose of the venue) the joke of course being that they don't have many members. So International Communist Current, International Conference while a mouthful works as a sign.
Having looked at their about us section and the list of Esperanto words for current, I think fluo comes closest to their meaning, (something to do with spreading information and influence), unless of course fluo exclusively refers to water movement.
I guess reworking the sentence to La Internacio/tutmonda konferenco de la Internacia Komunisto fluo would be better.
Perhaps Tutmonda Konferenco pri Nuntempa* Internacia KomunismoThats a good sentence and I may use that in translating another strip, but I don't think it'll work for this one as that changes the meaning from the group the ICC, to international communism the ideology, so it loses the crux of the joke.
*Nuntempa refers to current, as in current events right?

Alkanadi:Single or plural isn't really the issue,its the person part of it. There is a difference between an idea or label and a group to which that label applies. A komunisto is a Communist, komunistoj is a group of communists, Komunismo is the ideology they represent. However, a slightly different image might sound better, and that is 'ondo' (wave).
There is a well known magazine in Esperantujo called La Ondo de Esperanto. A definition in PIV supports this figurative use - 4.(f) provizora intensiĝo de ia sento, influo, fenomeno.
Also from the Tekstaro: Malfeliĉe — aŭ ĉu feliĉe? — ne daŭris longe ĝis mi sentis saman naŭzon pri la politika ondo!
So Tutmonda Konferenco de la Internacia Komunista Ondo.
As regards 'lefties', in modern usage, maldekstrulo is well supported (also dekstrulo for someone on the right). Historically though the term has been used for someone who is left-handed. PIV gives both meanings.

erinja:When referring to "left" and "right" politics I usually use -em- with the root.Can I call myself a mezemulo? I certainly don't fit into either side. Or maybe I'm just a dekstremetulo, a little to the right overall.
