I don't at all deny that the Esperanto community can and does produce worthy contributions to culture.
As for the literature, there appears to be a growing fixation upon low-quality literature, but that is something that also plagues English, among other languages.

On Saturday we are celebrating Zamenhof-Tago at our house and we have invited 95% non-Esperantists. Did any of them say no? No! Everybody likes a party. So let us celebrate Esperanto and drink to it and then see how many people are against it!!!!! Saluton!
