I love using the system and have used it for years on my English alphabet keyboard.
Examples: tsirklo, cielo, qoro, yaro, jaluza, djardeno, xati, ankaw.
Surely it is easy to know what all the above example words are and to pronounce them correctly.

petropensilvanio:Years ago my Esperanto teacher taught me a method of spelling that eliminated using diacritical marks above the letters using only the 26 letters of the English alphabet.Your teacher did you a disservice. It is really problematic for Esperanto teachers to go teaching non-standard systems of orthography to their students. It is hard to read and with modern technologies, there is little or no need to resort to these strange systems.

He lost the umlaut somewhere on Ellis Island.
As an alternative to tajpi there's also this little page called typeit:

In addition to keyboards for Esperanto and a couple dozen natlangs, there are also keyboards for currency symbols, general symbols, IPA characters and math symbols. If you want to properly notate surface integrals (∯), it's the place to go.

Polaris:Several years ago, someone told me a simple way to download an alternate English keyboard (on a Windows system), then go in and reassign the letters so the unused alphabet characters became Esperanto "hatted" letters. I put it on my computer and used it--I'd just switch keyboards when I wanted Esperanto. The problem is, I can't remember how to do it. I can download another keyboard, but I don't recall how to reassign the letters. Can somebody help me out with that?Have you tried Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator? That's what I used to make my own Esperanto keyboard layout, it should probably work.

Christa627:The Tajpi page is right here:
But unfortunately most of the links to download Tajpi are outdated and no longer work. I found a working link once, but now I can't find it again . Anyone know where it is now?
Tajpi - Esperanto Keyboard for Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10
I use it all the time and it's great.

Press Ctrl with the appropriate letter. For example, to type ĉ, press Ctrl + C; to type ŭ, press Ctrl + U.This is a mac solution but it might work for you:

You can switch to the Irish extended keyboard or US extended keyboard. Type "alt" + "6"
