Realeco is the quality of something real.
Realaĵo is one concrete real thing.
Nia realo estas malĝoja.
Mi dubas la realecon de drakoj.
Ĉiu ŝtono estas realaĵo.

Realeco = The quality of being real: realness.
Realaĵo = The state of being real shown in concrete form. So 'reality', something proving to be real.
Now someone cleverer can come and expand on this (or contradict me entirely!).

- realo. Tio, kio efektive ekzistas. (All) That which effectively exists.
- realaĵo. Io efektive ekzistanta. Something effectively existing; a thing that exists (as opposed to unicorns, Santa Claus, etc.)
- realeco. Eco de tio, kio estas reala. The quality of that which is real; realness.
-aĵo denotes something possessing that quality (or made from a substance; also meat of an animal).
