I just saw this word malinda. If Malinda decides to learn Esperanto then she will be offended.

Then I thought about my name.
Tony = toni = to tune or to play a note. Thank you Esperanto.

The name is Melinda. One hopes she'd be able to see the difference, though in spoken Esperanto it probably does sound similar.

Not everyone spells it with an E.

For example, Malinda Lo

I think they call this a false friend.
