I just saw this word malinda. If Malinda decides to learn Esperanto then she will be offended.

Then I thought about my name.
Tony = toni = to tune or to play a note. Thank you Esperanto.

The name is Melinda. One hopes she'd be able to see the difference, though in spoken Esperanto it probably does sound similar.

Not everyone spells it with an E.

For example, Malinda Lo

So I see. Never seen that spelling until now.

Only if spoken with a strong English accent...

I've never seen the name Malinda before, so only now I understand what Alkanadi is writing about.

Do Spanish speakers think Esperanto teams are interested in a different kind of group effort? Te amo/teamo okulumo.gif

I still get a smile when someone asks how I fartas.

It has always sounded funny to me too.

Kiel vi fartas? <--- How are you farting?
Mi fartas bone. <--- I am farting well.

I think they call this a false friend.
