I know it's not super necessary, but has there been any talk of a lernu app for phone or tablet?

As a teenager who's pretty addicted to his phone (and spends most of his day away from where he can use a computer, like school) I'd say an app would be helpful.

But back to the question anyway.

Thanks!!!!

Right now the Lernu management are transferring the website to new hosting, cleaning up the code, and doing their best to upgrade the website. Hopefully, the new edition will be mobile friendly.

In the meantime, have you heard about telegram? There are some Esperanto rooms for chatting.

Also, did you try Duolingo?

I assume Reddit has an app. With Reddit, you can ask question in the Esperanto room.

Oh alright, I hadn't noticed they were upgrading the website already. My fault.
I am on Duolingo, but I've found it got a bit boring.
The Reddit app is pretty badly made. It's hard to use properly.

The new site will be much easier to use on small screens, the pages will scale automatically to the screen size you're using. There are not currently concrete plans for an app (particularly not something that can be used offline), but that will get a look once the site launches. We are trying to focus on launching the main site before directing our attention to an app.

And warmest thanks to all the team who are working on it! Dankon!

But what should the people do, that don't want to wait until 2029?

That's enough time to write your own.

If you are an experienced iOS or Android app programmer who is willing to do this work, then contact teamo@lernu.net.

I was talking about the "nova lernu" and to me it seemed that you were too. For those, who do not know: The new page was to be launched 2 or 3 years ago. For me it's kind of a running gag like "Duke Nukem Forever" used to be (or "GNU/Hurd" still is).

I don't have experience in developing apps for iOS or Android, but i do have experience in developing complex web-pages. If you need help (structure, logic, design, etc.), i'm inclined to provide it.

We do not need help for the site, only for an app version. Our programmers have extensive experience with doing complex websites, but not with making mobile apps.
