Which Esperanto word means "organizationally similar"? In Officialese (read: English),

extortion is organizationally similar to taxation

going to the mattresses is organizationally similar to high-intensity conventional warfare

gangland execution is organizationally similar to capital punishment

asskicking is organizationally similar to show of strength

badassery is organizationally similar to valor

turf war is organizationally similar to use of force in territorial dispute

invasion of privacy is organizationally similar to espionage

mob hit is organizationally similar to targeted killing

battle of egos is organizationally similar to the use of honor as a case for war

use of further extortion to silence witnesses to an extortion racket is organizationally similar to fining tax protesters for bringing alleged "frivolous" suit against the IRS

"screw the rules, I make them" is organizationally similar to "the courts have recognized it both as a principle that was inherited from English common law, and as a practical, logical inference (that the government cannot be compelled by the courts because it is the power of the government that creates the courts in the first place)."

and so forth. I'm not asking you to change your political views, I just want to know what the word or phrase is in Esperanto.

I appreciate your many examples but I find that I still don't really understand the intended meaning of the term.

I was going to go with organizece simila, but I agree with Erinja. Is there a synonym in English for this?

In all cases Grown is mapping gangland properties to nation state properties. Perhaps the word being sought is "mapi", or maybe "almapi" (to map to).

extortion is organizationally similar to taxation
extortion maps to taxation

Or perhaps "analoga" (analogous).

extortion is analogous to taxation

Surely no single word for this. I'm thinking something like: strukture simila al

e.g.

- Political/economic quackery is structurally similar to political/economic ignorance.
- Politikaj/ekonomiaj ĉarlatana estas strukture simila al politikaj/ekonomiaj nescio.

- Tax evasion is structurally similar to social theft and violence.
- Impostfraŭdo estas strukture simila al socia ŝtelo kaj perforto.

That sort of thing.

I understand it like '... is organizationally similar to ...' = '... is in process (its sequences) similar to ...' . (German: 'im Prozessablauf')

Grown:Which Esperanto word means "organizationally similar"?
"organizationally" is "organize" and "similar to" is "similas (..n)".

RiotNrrd is right in this case, I am mapping gangland properties to nation-state properties. Also, what Vestitor said - that there is no one word for this - is a problem in Esperanto, because each word in Esperanto usually has only one meaning and about three or four synonyms at the most. Also, one word such as "samorganize" might not be enough, grammatically, because two things are being compared in some way. Is there some way we could come to some sort of consensus eventually, on which phrase to use in Esperanto to express this concept of "organizationally similar"?

Then maybe "topologie simila", because you are talking about two different topologies whose metrics appear to be similar locally.
