A Cattle Drive

I am trying to figure out the correct way to say "cattle drive" I was thinking "bovopelo" from bovino and peli, as the manner on drives the cattle across vast distance is essentially, just shooing them. Thoughts?

What do 'bovpelistoj' do? My guess is they "kondukas bovpeladon".

In the sense of large quantities of cattle being herded long distance over open country you could use bov-karavano. Though if you wish to refer more to the action then bov-pelado.

Karavano in Esperanto is a bit of a false friend for English speakers in that whilst a string of camels crossing a desert with their masters and other travellers is a caravan in English, the other more common meaning, vehicle towed behind a car, is ruldomo in Esperanto.

Karavano is also used to refer to group of Esperantists travelling together to a Congress, with the group perhaps picking up extra kongresontoj on the way.

Somehow I imagine this as a sort of conga with extra Esperantists joining at the back.
