Russian Nationality, one of the 55 national minorities officially recognized by China, first moved to China, captured as Kriegies in the 17th century. Around 18th century, more lamsters escaped to China, along with priests and farmers. Their population amounted to 15393 by 2010.
However, Han chauvinists, or certain Chinese natives, are trying hard to assimilate them, hoping their Russian blood could become less thicker with international marriages.
Nationalism is a serious topic in China, rather than racism that is known in Europe and USA. It occupies most minds of this warlike nation. Double dealing is its character, which is like a mask covering its cruelty. To solidify this concept, a Chinese proverb was introduced, saying "Different in nationality, different in loyalty", which is "非我族类,其心必异" originally, and literally "Out of my clan, the heart must be different".

Metaphor.
