Hello Everyone,

I have asked this question before about 8 years ago, and I can't find the forum post concerning this question.. So, I'm going to ask again.

Could anyone help me with translating the word "crochet", "crocheting", "crocheted"..? I would like to be able to say something like, "Hey, Tom (rando name inserted here.. haha) check out this hat I crocheted last night." -- I have no idea how to refer to crocheted items in Esperanto anymore. I don't even know what the word for crochet hook is. I would assume, that whatever the word is for crochet, that I'd add -ilo on the end to indicate the "tool" of crocheting, but what do I know? I'm not fluent in Esperanto. I hope to be eventually, but unfortunately, I'm not. malgajo.gif

Thank you in advance everyone!

Ĝis poste!
Stefanja

In PIV (you can see for yourself at Vortaro.net) you will find 'kroĉeti' and the implement is a 'kroĉetilo'.

Eble "hoktriki" , "hoktrikilo" se oni preferas kunmetaĵojn.

PS: trafite! ĝi jam ekzistas en ReVo.
