Mi serĉis preskaŭ ĉie por la vorto “ to date” kiel kun koramiko/ koramikino. Kio estas la vorto por ĉi tio? Ĉu “kunkoramikadi” estus ĝuste?

Kaj "rendevui" ne taŭgas?
Eble "iri ame interfaci" aŭ "iri amejunti"? (ŝerco!), ekz. Vespere mi amejuntos kun Sofia.

Mi ne sciis ke oni povus diri "rendevui" por ĉi tio.

Dankon

Pardonu la anglan.

Honestly I don't know, but let me speculate.

There are different kinds of meetings between people.
  • renkonti (transitive, always requires an object):
    1) to meet face to face: Se mi renkontus vin, mi kisus vin
    2) to experience in life, in society: La pioniroj de novaj ideoj renkontas plej ofte mokon
    3) to deal/react to something: La publiko renkontis tiun ideon kun malkonfido
  • renkontiĝi (a reciprocal verb which means in practice that the subject must be in plural)
    1) to meet each other: Ili ja renkontiĝis en la arbaro
  • rendevui
    1) to meet someone in an appointment: Mi rendevuis la kuraciston
    2) to gather (military, ships or similar): La trupoj rendevuis en la vilaĝo
  • vizitadi
    1) to pay (regular) visits, to socialise: Mi vizitadis lin almenaŭ unu fojon ĉiujare
    2) to attend an event, to seek for help: vizitadi kurson, klinikon
  • havi kompanion kun iu
    1) to accompany someone: tute ne estas agrable havi kompanion kun vi
Rendevui can be used in a more casual manner, hieraŭ mi rendevuis miajn amikojn, but the basic idea is, that it was agreed to meet. For some reason esperantists seem to prefer renkontiĝi, perhaps just for the reciprocity.

None of the above directly have a romantic aspect. However in some languages the French word rendez-vous has a romantic connotation, so perhaps ame rendevui could be used to express a romantic meeting. But that is a single meeting, while "to date" in the romantic sense means "to have/seek a relationship", something that lasts longer than a single meeting. Based on this we could translate "to date" with something like havi korrilaton (lit. to have a heart-relationship).

Aliaj ideoj?

There's an old word in Esperanto ' amindumi', which is usually translated into English as to woo or to court.

Perhaps in these more permissive times this could be updated to cover dating.

Aminduma rendevuo could be a date.

If 'amikumu' is a an app to find friends, why not 'amindumu' for an app to find dates.

Have a look at this old Lernu thread from 2014 here.

Amindumi? Hmm, why not!

How about akompanadi?

Nala_Cat15:How about akompanadi?
No, akompanadi already has enough other meanings. See PIV.

Mi pensas, ke la vorto amrendevui (am/rendevu/i) estas la plej bona, sed ĝi ial ne estas populara.

Jes, aŭ ankaŭ ""amvarbi", laŭ "assimil"
