Saluton. Mi estas tre konfuzita: Mi estis faranta la kurso “La teorio Nakamura”, kaj mi lernis la afikso “-ebl-“, kaj la kurso donis al mi la demandon, “Homoj povas kredi la filmojn pri tempovojaĝoj. La filmoj pri tempovojaĝoj estas _______”. Mi pensis, ke la respondi estas “kredebla”, sed la kurso informis min, ke la respondi ne estis ĝusta.

Tia demando, kiu postulas diveni la intencon de la aŭtoro, estas malfacila.

Normale, oni uzas "kredinda" por io, kion oni povas kredi sen riski eraron.

"Nekredebla" signifas ne nur ke afero estas nekredinda, sed ankaŭ ke ĝi aspektas tiel absurde, ke neniu povas kredi ĝin.

I hope you do not mind me taking up this first. Strickly speaking this is a style issue, but it is so widely used that deviating from it gives an odd feeling to the listener.

In most cases a simple verb, simpla verbo, (here "faras") is enough.
 

• Mi faras la kurson “La teorio Nakamura”… : I do/am doing the course..

The action ("doing") may have started already some time ago or just recently, but what matters is that it is in progress now.

You need a compound verb, kunmetita verbo, (here "estis faranta") when describing an action in relation to another action. For instance:
 

• Mi estis faranta lecionon de la kurso "La teorio Nakamura", kiam vi alvenis. : I was doing a lesson of the course.. when you arrived.

But in informal speech even this can be expressed with a simple verb with additional description.
 

• Mi sidis ĉe la tablo kaj faris lecionon de la kurso "La teorio Nakamura", kiam vi (ĵus) alvenis.

Without further context it is hard to say exactly, but kredinda is the most likely one here.

There are three somewhat related endings.
 

• -ebl: something is feasible
  
• -end: something is compulsory
  
• -ind: something is worth doing

It is not always easy to translate these to other languages.
 

• Al mi "Stela Vojaĝo: La Sekva Generacio" estas kredebla televida serio. : "Star Trek. The next generation" is a credible tv series to me (the story etc. seems credible to me).
  
• "Stela Vojaĝo: La Sekva Generacio" estas spektenda televida serio. : "Star Trek. The next generation" is a must-see tv series. (I must see it)
  
• Laŭ mi "Stela Vojaĝo: La Sekva Generacio" estas spektinda televida serio. : In my opinion "Star Trek. The next generation" is a tv series worth watching. (I think it is worth the time spent)

Ankoraŭ, mi ne komprenas kial la vorton "kredinda" estas uzita, ĉar ĝi signas indi sed mi provante diri la Angla vorton "believable"...
