I've updated my Microsoft Office 2003 on my Windows XP Home computer to include Arial MS Unicode characters, so that I can put the five-pointed star symbol in Word documents. But, when I try to paste it into this window all I get is a blank square. Strangely, on my computer at work the star can be seen - but not my home computer. Anyone know how to fix this?

All I know is that for me the default font for Lernu is something like Tahoma or Verdana, so maybe those fonts don't support the Arial MS Unicode characters. I don't tend to use many unicode characters though so there may be something else causing the problem.
Hope the problem gets sorted!

ceigered:..Tahoma or Verdana.. maybe those fonts don't support the Arial MS Unicode characters. You're right there. Tahoma and Verdana don't have the star character. But then the puzzle is how I can see the Arial MS symbols when I paste them from Word into lernu in a computer outside my home! Anyway, I've posted a query as part of a reply to something else on the Esperanto-speaking forum, maybe someone will know.
