For formatted text I'd go for "formatita teksto".
You can view the Leksikono here. I find it to be an extremely useful resource.

jchthys:How does one say "plain text" or "formatted text" ..I would use simpla and riĉa for plain and unformatted respectively; cf the 'rich text' option in Wordpad and Hotmail.

jchthys:Simpla would have been my guess, but I'll go with plata.I've seen plain text called 'simple text', plata seems to denote flatness, you could even use klara as far as I know (according to the Lernu Vortaro). Just thought I'd put that out there for variety's sake .
