Late to the party
Yes, I use Linux Mint and am learning Esperanto. I enjoy Esperanto and I like the approach of equals, of stepping forward together. I feel a similar sense in the Linux Mint community and I like that sense. I enjoy learning, and I've made progress in both Esperanto and in Linux, in a short time, with the help of friendly people. I feel a sense of accomplishment from both, and I like that a lot. It may be that both Esperanto and Linux are founded in idealism, but they are ideals made practical and show that they can work. Both are solid, functioning examples of what co-operation can do, in a world that's gotten so commercial and competitive, that 'co-operation' is practically a dirty word. I think that's what Esperanto and Linux have in common - people co-operating to help each other and communicate.
