I’m deciding between this and «La granda aventuro» by Ferenc Szilágyi. Which would you get?

jchthys:Has anyone gotten “a pound of used books” from the Esperanto-USA online bookstore? If so, are you pleased with the purchase?I haven't tried buying books for E-USA (because I don't have that much money for that unfortunately), but I would rather pick the "La granda aventuro". A "pound of used books" sounds interesting, but not knowing the titles they'll be sending me, I can't judge whether the quality and contents are that good or bad to my taste before I see those books.

Having said that, remember that it's a human being who is putting together your pound of books, not a robot. If you were to include in the comments of your order something like "I really like novels and poetry" or "I really like history books" or "I like science books" or something like that, they might try to fulfill that request in your pound of books. And I'm sure they wouldn't give you a pound of old UEA jarlibroj, I'm sure they'd try to make sure there was at least something interesting in your pound. So who knows, it could be an interesting grab bag that introduces you to something new!

All in all, definitely worth the five bucks.
