Yes yes, I understand this. But the forum you're asking help on involves issues concerning the European Union. Will the people on the forum respect the opinions of non-Europeans who have little to no stake in the discussion? I don't regularly participate there, so I have no way of knowing; hence, the question...

Ni esperantistoj devus labori por pozitivigus opinion pri esperanto ie, kie homoj parolas pri komunaj lingvoj.

Esperanto estas ilo por komunikado.

Estas ebla, io politika direkto uzas Esperanto.

I'll give it a try (not necessarily word-for-word):

My motive for asking for help in this European forum was to change what people think about Esperanto. We Esperantists should work to better people's opinions about Esperanto, in a place where they are talking about a common language and, not liking the political side. Esperanto is a tool for communication.

It's possible that one political side is using Esperanto.
It's possible that one political side favors Esperanto.

But Esperanto is not a political side.

Please help better the opinions of Esperanto on this European forum. Unfortunately, I don't speak English well enough to.

I think it is unrelated with the supremacy of English: it's just because this is the English-language part of the forum. A message only in Esperanto in the French forum would receive the same comment written in French. (And it has already happened.) I suppose the moderator merely applies the rule “The messages in the English forum must be written in English” (or Polish, or Chinese, etc.).

(By the way, I read the link given in the first message and I feel insulted by some posts about Esperanto – sorry – “Espershit”.)

I don't really think it's a matter of English, rather the wrong language in the wrong place.. so the fact it was English in this case is just incedental. Similar warnings appear in the other forums too so I don't think I agree with the thing about English supremacy and sending out the wrong message.

I think the whole point of the English forum, or any of the other "other language" forums, is that we DO have a common language.. the language of the forum itself. If you don't speak the language then why post there? You can get answers to English-specific questions in any of the Esperanto threads.
